This scholarship scheme is designed to support high-achieving youth by easing the financial burden of university education and investing in the future human capital of the region.
Category of Awards
1. University Community Award
This category is strictly for students who are indigenes of Midwestern’s Host Communities.
- Eligibility: Open to students in 100 and 200 level at the time of application.
- Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE/GCE (including Math & English) in one sitting.
- JAMB/UTME result and a valid Admission Letter from an accredited Nigerian university.
- Current University ID Card.
- Letter of Identification signed by the Community Board of Trustees (BOT).
2. University Merit Award
This category is open to all Delta State Indigenes regardless of community.
- Eligibility: Open to students in 200 level only.
- Academic Criteria: Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent) from the first year of study.
- Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE/GCE (including Math & English) in one sitting.
- JAMB/UTME result and a valid Admission Letter from an accredited Nigerian university.
- Current University ID Card.
- Official First-Year Transcript (signed and stamped).
- Certificate of Origin stating LGA and Senatorial Zone (Delta North, South, or Central).

How to Apply for Midwestern JV University Scholarship 2026
Applications must be submitted electronically via the Scholastica platform. Email applications will not be accepted.
- Click on the application button below
- Click “Register Now” to create an account.
- Check your email to activate your newly created account.
- Log in and enter your personal details, National Identification Number (NIN), and educational history.
- Scan and upload the required documents.
- Click “Apply Now” for your specific category (Community or Merit). You will receive an email/SMS confirmation upon success.
- Return to the portal to download your generated profile. This document must be signed by your Head of Department (HOD).
- Scan and upload the signed profile back onto the platform to complete the verification process.
Warnings: The application process is completely FREE. All applicants must have a NIN. Submitting more than one application will lead to automatic disqualification. Any candidate found to have presented false or forged documents will be disqualified and withdrawn at any stage. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
