Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the 2026 GREAT Scholarship, you must satisfy the following criteria:
- Must be a national and resident of Thailand, Mexico, or Ghana.
- Must hold, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
- Must be accepted for admission into a full-time, one-year, on-campus postgraduate Master’s programme at the University of Edinburgh.
- Applicants should be motivated to act as ambassadors for UK Higher Education and contribute to the relationship between their home country and the UK.
- No IELTS Required (Subject to university admission standards)
How to Apply for University of Edinburgh GREAT Scholarship 2026
- You must first submit an application for an eligible Master’s programme at the University of Edinburgh.
- After applying for admission, allow up to five working days for system checks to be completed and for your scholarship portal access to be granted.
- Use your University User Name and password to log in to the MyEd information portal.
- Locate the online scholarship application form within the EUCLID section of the portal by clicking the button below.
Submit Before Deadline: Complete and submit your scholarship application by May 1, 2026.
Important Information: Since you cannot access the scholarship form until after you apply for admission, it is critical to start your admission process immediately. Do not wait until the scholarship deadline day, as the mandatory 5-day system delay could cause you to miss the application window.
