Research Focus & Responsibilities

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the 2026 McNeese Scholarship, applicants must meet the following:

Must hold a B.S. in Wildlife Science, Biology, Natural Resource Conservation, or a closely related discipline.
Strong interests in Herpetology, Conservation Biology, and quantitative techniques are essential.
Ability to tolerate field work in high heat, humidity, and environments with biting insects.
Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and sensitivity to species of conservation concern.
Experience identifying frogs and toads by sight or vocalization is preferred but not mandatory.
