Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 2026 IHE Delft MSc scholarship, you must:
- Live and work in one of the following regions:
- Middle East: Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Yemen
- Horn of Africa: Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Uganda
- Sahel: Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Nigeria
- Secure an academic admission letter for the MSc in Water and Sustainable Development.
- Agree to conduct your MSc research in your home country or region.
- Confirm your commitment to return to your country of origin or another priority country after graduation.
Selection Criteria
The selection committee utilizes a specific set of priorities when awarding scholarships:
- Strong priority is given to female candidates.
- Academic merit.
- Preference is given to candidates with relevant professional experience in the water sector.
- Applicants must provide strong answers to the five motivation questions in the online application.
- Priority may be given to suitable candidates who can arrange partial co-funding from other sources.

Important Information: Since admission is the first step, ensure your educational documents and references are uploaded early. For applicants from Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda, you do not need to provide English test scores (IELTS/TOEFL) as you are officially exempted.
