1. Where You Will Study
Recipients must undertake their studies at accredited Malaysian Public Universities. While the scholarship is broad, priority is given to students enrolled in institutions recognized for research excellence, such as:

The scholarship prioritizes courses that drive national development, including:
- Science, Technology, and Engineering (excluding Nursing and Medicine)
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the 2026 intake, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Not more than 45 years old at the time of application.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum Second Class Upper (Honours) or a CGPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Language Proficiency:
- IELTS overall score of 6.0 or higher; OR
- TOEFL iBT score of 60 or higher; OR
- Proof that the previous degree was taught entirely in English.
- Must be in excellent health, certified by a medical professional (the cost of the check-up is borne by the applicant).

- You must first apply for admission to a full-time Master’s program at an eligible Malaysian university.
- Visit the official MTCP Scholarship website.
- Register on the system and fill out the online application form.
- Ensure you have scanned copies of your passport, transcripts, English proficiency results, CV, and a recommendation letter.
Submission of Application: Finalize your application before June 12, 2026. You can monitor your selection status directly through the portal.
Important Information: Recipients are not allowed to change their study program or undertake any paid employment during the tenure of the scholarship without prior written permission from the MTCP Secretariat.
