- Must hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree diploma or its verified academic equivalent from an accredited higher institution.
- Professional, academic, or practical alignment with technology, innovation, economic development, or intellectual property policy.
- The program is highly suitable for government officials, patent office administrators, intellectual property lawyers, academics, technology transfer specialists, startup ecosystem managers, and development practitioners.
- Satisfaction of the baseline English language proficiency expectations necessary to undertake intensive postgraduate studies in an international environment.
- Applicants holding a prior Master’s degree are fully permitted to apply to expand their research focus.

How to Apply for Fully Funded KDI Scholarships in Korea
The application process relies on a dual-portal submission strategy that requires verification from both participating entities. Follow this step-by-step guide;
- Start application by clicking on the green button below.
- Submit a formal application package through the KDI School Application Portal to process your university admissions assessment.
- Simultaneously submit a corresponding application package through the WIPO Application Portal to complete your specialized scholarship screening.
- Ensure both portal files are fully completed, all matching PDF documents are uploaded, and entries are finalized before the July 31, 2026 deadline.
- Document reviews will run through August 2026, followed by online interviews in September 2026.
- Final admission and scholarship confirmations will drop in mid-October 2026, with classes officially kicking off in early February 2027.
