The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) program aims to expand access to higher education and enhance social and economic development in the 26 eligible partner countries.

Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the program runs for eight years, from 2022 to 2030, and focuses on areas that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The initiative is designed to support capacity building by providing students and professionals with high-quality education and training opportunities in Canada. Participants will gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experience that can contribute to the development of their home countries.

Eligibility Requirements for BCDI 2030 Scholarship

Eligibility for the BCDI 2030 program is determined through institutional partnerships rather than individual applications.

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be citizens of one of the 26 eligible partner countries participating in the BCDI 2030 program.
  • Meet the admission requirements of both the participating Canadian higher education institution (HEI) and the partner institution in their home country.
  • Apply through an approved project partnership between a Canadian HEI and an institution in one of the eligible countries.

How to Apply for the Canadian International Development Scholarship (BCDI 2030)

Interested candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Explore the available BCDI 2030 scholarship projects offered through partnerships between Canadian institutions and institutions in eligible countries.
  2. Identify the relevant project and contact the designated resource persons associated with that program.
