Candidates for the 2026 UTME and Direct Entry (DE) can now apply to change their choice of institution and correct personal details through the official JAMB eFacility portal.

If you made an error during registration or later decided to switch schools, there is no need to worry. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) provides an official correction window that allows you to update your details.

This option remains available even after sitting for the UTME, provided the correction window is still open.

What Is JAMB Change of Institution?

The JAMB Change of Institution process allows a candidate to switch from their originally selected institution to another institution or/and update personal information submitted during registration.

However, before making any changes, ensure the new institution offers your intended course, you meet the required UTME subject combination, your score meets the new institution’s cut-off mark, and admission slots are still available.
