Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the 2026 nomination, applicants must meet the following:
- Must be a citizen of the Republic of Kenya.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree for Master’s, and hold a Master’s degree for PhD.
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience is required.
- All applicants must be under 45 years old.
- Be physically and mentally fit (as certified by a medical report).
- Proficiency in English or Chinese depending on the chosen program.

How to Apply for MOFCOM Kenya Scholarship 2026
Applying for the MOFCOM Scholarship as a Kenyan involves a dual process online registration and physical submission to the Ministry of Education.
- Visit the official Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) website with the link below
- Choose a MOFCOM-approved degree program.
- Register and complete the application on the CSC portal.
- Use Agency Number 00010 for the MOFCOM-CSC program.
- Visit the Ministry of Education (Kenya) scholarship portal.
- Download the official notice and any internal Kenyan forms required.
- Submit a hard copy of your completed application form and all supporting documents to: Teleposta Towers, 2nd Floor, Room No. 32, Nairobi.
- All physical and digital materials must be submitted on or before May 8, 2026.
Nomination & Selection: The Kenyan Ministry of Education will shortlist and nominate candidates to the Chinese Embassy. Final approval is granted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the host university.
