Eligibility Requirements for Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS)
To qualify for the Malaysia International Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be graduates who intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) in Malaysia, or those currently enrolled in postgraduate programs at Malaysian public universities or selected private institutions.
- Applicants must be no older than 40 years for Master’s programs and 45 years for PhD programs at the time of application.
- Applicants must possess strong academic qualifications:
- Master’s applicants: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or Second Class Upper (Honours) in their Bachelor’s degree.
- PhD applicants: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or excellent results at the Master’s level in a related field of study.
- Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language through one of the following:
- Minimum IELTS score of 6.0, or
- Minimum TOEFL PBT score of 550, or
- Proof that previous degree(s) were completed with English as the medium of instruction.
