Sponsored by the Government of Brazil with structural support from the Instituto Guimarães Rosa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this program is designed to attract top-tier global talent into Brazilian higher education.

For this newly launched cycle, 62 premier Brazilian universities have partnered to offer a combined total of 889 fully funded postgraduate scholarships (comprising 539 Master’s slots and 350 Doctoral positions). Admitted scholars will begin their academic programs in early 2027.
Benefits of GCUB-MOB Scholarship 2026
The GCUB-Mob program removes the entire financial burden of moving abroad by providing an extensive, all-inclusive institutional reward:
- 100% Tuition Waivers: Complete exemption from standard enrollment fees, semester tuition, or programmatic academic levies for the entire degree duration.
- Monthly Living Stipend: Regular cash allowances paid out directly by the host university to cover local accommodation, utilities, and daily food expenses.
- Campus Integration: Free, direct access to university restaurants (cafeterias), physical libraries, high-tech research laboratories, and student support services.
- Special OSC Allocations: Selected candidates applying from partner member states of the Organisation of Southern Cooperation (OSC) will receive an additional structural allowance of up to $1,500 to explicitly clear passport visa fees, economy airfare tickets, and comprehensive international medical insurance.
- Important Duration Guardrails: The monthly stipends are strictly capped at a maximum of 24 months for Master’s candidates and up to 48 months for PhD researchers.

Eligibility Criteria
To successfully cross the electronic screening phases, applicants must satisfy the following baselines:
- You must hold citizenship in a country that maintains active diplomatic ties with Brazil. Brazilian dual-citizens or domestic nationals are completely ineligible.
- Applicants must hold an official undergraduate degree to enter a Master’s track, or a completed Master’s certificate to register for a PhD path.
- To increase acceptance chances, each applicant can choose and apply for up to five distinct graduate programs across five different participating Brazilian universities.
- Applications can be written and cleanly uploaded in English, Portuguese, Spanish, or French.
- Under the program’s mobility framework, all international recipients must return to their home countries within 30 days of completing their degree.
