Requirements
To qualify for the 2027 academic cycle, applicants must meet the following strict criteria:
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America at the time of application.
- Must hold a first undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year US college or university by September 2027.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. Note that rounded GPAs are strictly rejected.
- Must have graduated from their undergraduate institution after April 2024.
- Must not hold a degree or degree-equivalent qualification from a British university, nor have taken GCSEs or A-Levels in the UK.
How to Apply for USA Marshall Scholarships 2027
To apply for the Marshall Scholarships to study in the UK, here is a step-by-step guide;

- Complete the online application form and submitting it through the system to your undergraduate institution.
- The institution will then ensure that the application is complete and make a decision whether they wish to endorse the application or not.
- If the Institution elects to endorse the application, they will add a letter of endorsement on your behalf and will then submit it through the system to the appropriate regional committee.
- You are advised to contact their undergraduate institution as soon as possible if they are considering applying for a Marshall Scholarship.
- Applications will be received and reviewed at eight regional centres in the United States.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified if they have been selected for interview by early to mid November.
