Eligibility & Requirements

The program evaluates applicants based on independence of thought, purposeful leadership, and a civic-minded perspective. To qualify for the 2027 cohort, you must meet the following baseline conditions:

  • You must have earned your first bachelor’s degree in January 2020 or later. For military veterans, the eligibility window is extended by two years to January 2018 or later. If you are currently completing your final undergraduate year, you remain eligible provided you graduate before September 2027.
  • You must apply to, be accepted by, and enroll in a full-time Stanford graduate degree program. The scholarship is open to applicants targeting any of Stanford’s seven graduate schools.
  • ou are eligible to apply if you are applying concurrently to KHS and a graduate program, if you previously deferred an offer from a Stanford graduate program to 2027, or if you are a current first-year Stanford PhD student applying to start KHS in your second year.
